GLA:D® Back
An evidence-based program for persistent or recurrent low back pain
GLA:D® Back is a program for people with long-term or recurrent low back pain that affects everyday function. Developed in Denmark, it combines education and exercise to provide participants with knowledge, strategies and confidence to better understand and manage their condition.
Based on current research and clinical guidelines, the program aims to improve function, support symptom management and promote long-term wellbeing.

GLA:D® Education
Education is an important component of the GLA:D® Programs. Participants attend a group session where they learn about their condition, pain mechanisms, and strategies that may support improved function and quality of life.
These sessions provide practical information and support participants to better understand their body, manage symptoms and develop long-term self-management strategies.
Education sessions are free, with bookings required.
GLA:D® Exercise
Exercise is a central component of the GLA:D® Programs. Participants complete 12 supervised sessions over 6 weeks, each approximately 60 minutes long, in small groups of 4–6 people. All classes are led by Mead Physio clinicians who are GLA:D® trained and certified.
The exercises are simple and adaptable, designed to support strength, balance and confidence in movement.
