As part of our Meet the Team series, today we introduce you to Annette, one of our Remedial Massage Therapists! Annette has answered a few questions for us so we can get to know her better. Take a look below!

What is your role at Mead Physio Group and what does it entails?

I am a Remedial Massage Therapist, I assist with the clients healing process with soft or deep tissue manipulation.

What do you love most about working at Mead Physio Group?

I enjoying working with a great team who focus on assisting people. It really brings joy to me when a client I have been working with has better range of movement, less pain and can function normally.

Your word of advice regarding pain?

When something doesn’t feel right it probably isn’t.  Don’t put off pain, the sooner you can have treatment, the quicker you will heal.  Sometimes all it takes is a few sessions of massage or physio to get you back on track.  Massage reduces stress, pain, tension, improves circulation, lowers heart rate, blood pressure and improves immune function.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I enjoy going to the gym, meditating, walking my dog through the bush and spending time with my family and children.

‍

What is an interesting fact about you? Or something we don’t know about you?

I am a Western Australian State Champion of figure skating and toured the world with Disney on Ice for 9 years.
